Educated as a Chorister at Exeter Cathedral School and Blundells, followed by a year working at Lincoln Cathedral School and as Choral Scholar in the Cathedral Choir.
Jonathan then gained a place at the London College of Music where he studied Clarinet, Piano, Singing and Percussion, as well as Organ under the International Recitalist Margaret Phillips. He then gained a PGCE from Exeter University before taking up the post of Director of Music at Glebe House School in Norfolk.
Jonathan has been the Musical Director for numerous productions, including Joseph, Les Miserables, Fame, Oliver and Little Shop of Horrors, some of which were performed at the Minack Open Air Theatre in Cornwall.
Jonathan was, until recently, Head of Performing Arts at GEMS Bolitho School in Cornwall where he taught both class and instrumental music and was responsible for setting up a Music Excellence Programme.
Richard studied Piano, Clarinet and Composition at the London College of Music obtaining professional performing and teaching diplomas.
Richard has played with a variety of Bands, Orchestras and Artists in leading venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Barbican Centre in London as well as touring Scandinavia, playing in Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen and Europe. Richard has played in Musical Theatre, including Fame and Return to the Forbidden Planet.
His playing has taken him to the US where he performed live at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles and played at the renowned venue 'The Mint' in West Hollywood. He has recently performed solo at a VIP event attended by HRH The Duke of Kent.
As well as having a successful teaching practice for many years, Richard is regularly booked for studio session work and as a consultant offering performance coaching & advice to Bands, Solo Artists & Performers.
Richard is a UK music industry judge for the JPF World Music Awards held in the US.
